Matti Lepistö’s Sculpture Park

Ostrobothnia, Whenever, Art garden, Artist’s home, ITE environment

Welcome to the world of Raahe-based ITE artist Matti Lepistö (1948–2020) in the sculpture park in the artist’s home yard. In the yard, you will find almost 300 concrete sculptures, whose surreal and mythological approach meets human and animal figures as well as rural depictions, Kalevala and themes symbolizing life.

After the artist’s death (2020), the site was taken care of by his three brothers. In the spring of 2025, the park was transferred to the ownership of the City of Raahe, and the city took responsibility for the care of the sculptures.
