HugoITE – Hugo Kivinen’s ITE sculptures

The HugoITE exhibition at the Huittinen Museum presents the sympathetic and humorous wooden sculptures of Hugo Kivinen (1904–1975) from Huittinen. Kivinen, who made his life’s work as a carpenter, sculpted characters in his spare time whose playful expressions put the viewer in a good mood. In addition to humorous motifs, Kivinen’s sculptures include delicate child motifs and, like many other ITE artists, also animals.
