The whole family will love the local ITE artist Vesa Väänänen’s playful works made from recycled metal in the historic railway park. The popular Heinola bird sanctuary is also nearby.
In the last couple of years, the care of the park unfortunately seems to have fallen behind and some of the works have fallen into bad shape. The older ones from the pictures on this page are from the time when the park was still a representative destination.
