Arja Alhoranta’s Deer Park
Finland Proper, Southern Finland, Western Finland, Whenever, ITE environment
Arja Alhoranta’s concrete sculptures in her garden on Highway 8 in Pyhäranta, Southwest Finland, on the borders of Satakunta, include life-size animals, such as eight deer and six horses and totems carved with a chainsaw. Alhoranta considers The Ploughman, a large piece that depicts the history of the countryside, her very best work.
