Matti Järvenpää’s Iron Park

Pirkanmaa, Southern Finland, Virtually, ITE environment

The sculpture park, made of scrap iron by Matti Järvenpää (1836-2022) at his farm in Hämeenkyrö, is a polemic on the state of the planet, politics, changes in society, nature conservation and world peace.

The site is not open to the public, but you can view it virtually in the Rautapuisto video recorded during the survey project ITE in Pirkanmaa. It’s also possible to agree private visits with the family.

Read the artist’s bio on our website.
